I'm new to the battlefield series, while playing online multiplayer, i'm having issues, i can sorta understand the guns and stuff, it's like black ops..(yes i'm a COD fan..) anyway, playing online rush and squad rush are the most popular, i'm more of a fan of TDM. But i just go for kills mainly, and when i play, snipers are on the edge of the map just shooting at me, and i almost never know where i am, and i have a hard time getting kills. any advice, guns, etc?Battlefield 3 multiplayer help?
Play like it's real. Move between cover, don't stand in the open, hide in things with armor plating, don't hide behind things that explode, etc.
BF3 is not the best example of a Battlefield game though probably the closest to CoD. You want the real BF experience go find an old 10$ copy of 1942. Otherwise think of TDM like a CoD map with WAY too many people on it. Usually getting on a roof or finding a corner somewhere will either keep you safe or you'll find that sniper who needs a good knife in the back.
Far as a guns go the noob tube is the USAS-12 with frag rounds. It's an auto shottie with mini-nades. Real spray and pray with AoE kinda gun. Otherwise just about any shotgun will do for TDM if you just want kills and XP. Later on I'd say go for Hardcore mode since bullets actually kill people and type of gun plays a bigger roll in what you want to do. Otherwise go full on explosives and MGs then spam your little heart (M249 FTW).Battlefield 3 multiplayer help?
BF3 differs from MW3 in that it is very similar to actual warfare as compared to MW3 which is a stylized arcade version. when advancing in the battlefield, try to dart from cover to cover, because that not only protects you from the snipers, but will shield you from other close-mid range players.
as for guns, etc, it really depends on your own preference and playstyle. the assault and support both have pretty decent range for automatic weapons, and the engineer does pretty well with both the smg (small effective range) and the rpg.Battlefield 3 multiplayer help?
Use cover effectively, keep moving around: a still target=easy headshot, keep an eye on the minimap for enemy triangles, watch out for scope glare (a white light) which shows up when a snipers aiming at you, try and patrol one area of the map cause running around like a chicken with its head cut off will only get you killed, use FAMAS (1000 rpm and kills in 4-6 bullets which means it kills in the same amount of bullets as all Assault Rifles and fires the fastest out of ALL the weapons in the game). FAMAS is unlocked with the Back to Karkand map pack and after 10 heals and revives.
Going from cover to cover prone is a nice idea. If it is a larger map then try finding large enclosed areas to fight enemies. If it is a map like Operation Metro then try to criss-cross across the station.
