I bought Battlefield 3 for my Playstation 3. It was pre-owned and cheaper but still came with a valid online pass code. However, every time I try to join an online game it says the server connection was lost or something along those lines. Why is this?Battlefield 3 Online Multiplayer Problem. Help!?
During peak times i have found Battlefield3 multiplayer servers a bit on the weak side.
If you are sure that the online pass worked and downloaded correctly try joining a co-op game, play if for a bit, then try the multiplayer.
If you still have no luck, try using the server browser and adjust the filters to find the match/map type you want to play.
You have a much better chance of finding a server this way.Battlefield 3 Online Multiplayer Problem. Help!?
Have you tried joining a co-op mission to see what happens? And have you tried joining via the server list instead of quick match?

This could have to do with your internet connection, which may be too weak to support playing Battlefield 3. Either this, or the servers are screwed up.
Sometimes happens to me, maybe the servers are down? Have you used the online code yet?
