What are pros and cons of multiplayer in battlefield 3?

im considering getting battlefield 3 but what are the pros and cons of multiplayer matches? Also what game modes are there and what it features? What are pros and cons of multiplayer in battlefield 3?
Conquest (Large): Capturing territories on large maps usually between 32-64 players. Vehicles are usually are available. Battles are not as intense as Rush mode since players are more dispersed at several points on the map.

Rush: Destroying Com Stations (2). You advance on the map until you destroy the 2 com stations. Probably the mode with the most action since players are usually concentrated on those 2 stations. Defending or destroying. Usually 32-64 players.

These mods are probably the ones the i play the most. The gun firing physics are realistic and balanced since you have to consider the bullet drop on long distance shots. Same goes with firing from a vehicle. The skill/gadget/equipment advances are also for the long term since there are so many and it takes forever to max out just one class. Each gun has its attachments, there's different camouflage, leveling up for each vehicle and gun placements. Maps are wide open, sometimes they can take place in a subway for close ranged battles and sometimes a nice mix between both.

Problems: You need tons of practice to get good, i play once in a while and im usually at the bottom of the ranking list for the map unless i get lucky. So you end up playing against good players. If you end up with a crappy team, your done, no way to win at that point. Sometimes mortars and snipers can be really unbalanced, constantly bombarding or sniping your team from a distance.

Its a great game, a game you will definitely be playing for a long time. Graphics are superb, gameplay is dead on, action is like nothing else. Buy it, you won't be disappointed. What are pros and cons of multiplayer in battlefield 3?
Pros would be that the maps are very large compared to MW3, so you would less likely to encounter campers. Also, there are tons of vehicles to operated from Jet plane to Tanks. I think there are more weapons to choose from compared to MW3.

The Cons are that you can get disconnected from game, it can lag a lot, and snipers are everywhere, since they have more places to snipe from.

The types of multiplayer games are the following:

Team Deathmatch makes its return for the first time since Battlefield 1942, featuring 12 vs. 12 infantry only battles, and DICE suggest this is the optimum mode for people new to the Battlefield series as well as those looking for a quick action fix.

Squad Deathmatch features less players, 8 vs. 8, but introduces the IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) for each side and larger scale maps than Team Deathmatch. The goal is teamwork, utilizing the strengths of your squad to gain the victory with the IFV serving as a firepower multiplier in the right hands.

Rush will be familiar to players of the Bad Company series, and will feature 12 vs. 12 battles on the consoles and 16 vs. 16 battles on the PC. For those not in the know, Rush is an objective based game-type with one team defending and the other attacking a series of M-COM stations in strategic areas of the map. It is normally a staged affair, destroying one set of stations unlocks the next section of the map and the defending team must retreat to new lines and prevent the attacking team from destroying the next set.

There will be “refinements” to the mode in Battlefield 3, however:

Players can no longer shoot at or plant explosives on the M-COM station to destroy it, it can only be armed or disarmed.

If the attacking team arms the M-COM but runs out of tickets, the match will still continue until either the M-COMN station blows up or is disarmed, much like the mechanic used in Counterstrike.

If the defenders begin a defuse just before detonation occurs, it will halt the detonation and allow the defuse. If the defender is killed during the disarm process then the station will immediately explode.

Squad Rush is a very focused mode with a 4 vs. 4 setup. One squad versus another. There are only 2 M-COM stations to deal with and no vehicles, focusing instead on how well a squad can set itself up to combat the other.

Conquest is THE classic Battlefield game type, featuring 12 vs. 12 action on the consoles or up to 32 vs. 32 players on the PC. The maps are large scale and vehicles are everywhere as two teams fight for control of several strategic objectives across the map. Control more flags than your opponent and watch their ticket count tick down – it’s what made the series great. What are pros and cons of multiplayer in battlefield 3?
two modes are:

rush, where the attackers are charged with destroying to mcom stations, plant a charge, wait 30 seconds..boom. after a set is destroyed, its time to move up. the attackers win when they destroy all mcoms (maps generally have between 3 and 4 sets, only one has more). the defenders win when they reduce the attackers tickets to 0 (1 kill counts as 1 ticket). there is a squad based mode where its 4 on 4 and theres only 1 set of mcoms.

conquest, both sides have to capture and hold a set of bases, the more they hold the faster they reduce enemy tickets (kills still count, but holding bases is the only way to win, seeing as the both sides have somewhere in the vicinity of 350 tickets, as opposed to 75-100 on rush). there is also a squad based mode of conquest.

team deathmatch, simple enough, be the first team to reach a set number of kills and your team wins.

cons, there isn't any big ones, the one most noobs complain about is the amount of time it takes to level up, which can be substantial, it takes anywhere from 20,000 to 60,000 points to level up and you average between 1800 and 4000 points a match. thats for me at least, and i manage to get mvp 1 2 or 3 every match, so it takes some players way the hell longer.

one more thing, id honestly wait to get it for a week or 2, a bunch of people got it for christmas and for the last week the server has been flooded with noobs, with 4 or 5 veterans dominating every match. i went from 10 kills a match to 20 or 25. get it if you want, but you will have a shitty k/d ratio, wait until it evens out then get it
